Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً فَلَا يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى تُوضَعَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever accompanies a funeral should not sit down before the funeral is placed on the ground.
