حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ يَقُولُ: " وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ، فَجَعَلَ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا، وَجَعَلَ ظَهْرَ كَفَّيْهِ مِمَّا يَلِي وَجْهَهُ، وَرَفَعَهُمَا فَوْقَ ثَنْدُوَتِهِ، وَأَسْفَلَ مِنْ مَنْكِبَيْهِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) was standing in the plain of Arafat making supplication in such a way that he had raised his hands in front of his chest and below his shoulders, and the backs of his palms were facing towards the ground.
