حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّهُمَا، سَمِعَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَسَمَ بَيْنَهُمْ طَعَامًا مُخْتَلِفًا، بَعْضُهُ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ بَعْضٍ "، قَالَ: فَذَهَبْنَا نَتَزَايَدُ بَيْنَنَا، " فَمَنَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَبَايَعَهُ إِلَّا كَيْلًا بِكَيْلٍ لَا زِيَادَةَ فِيهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) once distributed some food items among the people, some of which were better than others. We began to bargain with each other, but the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from doing so, instructing that the sale should only be by measure, and there should be no excess in it.
