Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Once Musa (peace be upon him) submitted in the court of Allah, "O Lord! Great hardships befall Your believing servant in this world." Allah opened a door of Paradise and showed it to him and said, "O Musa! I have prepared all this for him." Musa (peace be upon him) said, "O Lord! By Your honor and majesty! If a man were to walk on his face from the day of his birth until the Day of Resurrection, and his hands and feet were cut off, but his abode is this, he would not feel any hardship in it." Then Musa (peace be upon him) submitted, "O Lord! Your disbelieving servant has great abundance in this world?" Allah opened a door of Hell and showed it to him and said, "O Musa! I have prepared this for him." Musa (peace be upon him) said, "O Lord! By Your honor and majesty! If he were given the world from his birth until the Day of Resurrection, but his abode is this, he would have gained nothing good."
