حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ، عَنْ، ، أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " قَالَ إِبْلِيسُ: أَيْ رَبِّ (١) لَا أَزَالُ أُغْوِي بَنِي آدَمَ، مَا دَامَتْ أَرْوَاحُهُمْ فِي أَجْسَادِهِمْ "، قَالَ: " فَقَالَ الرَّبُّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: " لَا أَزَالُ أَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ، مَا اسْتَغْفَرُونِي " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Satan said, "O Lord! By Your honor, I will continue to mislead Your servants as long as their souls remain in their bodies." And the Lord of the worlds said, "By My honor and majesty! I will continue to forgive them as long as they keep seeking forgiveness from Me."
