Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin man asked in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), often there is lizard for food in our house." The Prophet (ﷺ) did not give him any answer. After a little while, he asked the same question again, but the Prophet (ﷺ) still did not answer him. This happened three times in the same way. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A group from the Children of Israel was cursed or subjected to the wrath of Allah, and their forms were transformed. Perhaps it is that, so I neither command you to eat it nor forbid you."
