حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنِ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، بَاعَدَ اللهُ بِذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ النَّارَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever fasts for one day in the way of Allah, Allah, due to the blessing of that day, will keep him seventy years' distance away from Hell.
