حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْمُثَنَّى يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مَرْوَانَ يَسْأَلُ (١) أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ: أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الشَّرَابِ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: فَإِنِّي لَا أُرْوَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنْ نَفَسٍ وَاحِدٍ، قَالَ: " فَأَبِنْ الْقَدَحَ عَنْ فِيكَ، ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ "، قَالَ: إِنِّي أَرَى الْقَذَى فِيهِ؟ قَالَ: " فَأَهْرِقْهُ (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
Abu al-Muthanna, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once Marwan asked Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, "Did you hear the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbidding breathing into drinks?" He replied, "Yes!" A man said, "I cannot quench my thirst in one breath, what should I do?" He replied, "Separate the vessel from your mouth and then breathe." He said, "If I see a straw or something similar in it, should I blow into it?" He replied, "Pour it out."
