حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَصَبْنَا سَبْيًا يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَعْزِلُ عَنْهُمْ (٢) ، وَنَحْنُ نُرِيدُ الْفِدَاءَ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ: تَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " لَيْسَ مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ الْوَلَدُ، إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ شَيْءٌ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the Battle of Hunain, we captured prisoners. We wanted to release them in exchange for ransom, so we asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about withdrawal (azl). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do as you wish, whatever Allah has decreed will happen, and a child is not created from every drop of semen.
