حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ (١) بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: افْتَخَرَ أَهْلُ الْإِبِلِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " السَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ، وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْإِبِلِ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ), some camel owners began to boast about themselves. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Calmness and dignity are found among the owners of goats, and pride and arrogance are found among the owners of camels.
