حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَكْتُبُوا عَنِّي شَيْئًا إِلَّا الْقُرْآنَ، فَمَنْ كَتَبَ عَنِّي شَيْئًا فَلْيَمْحُهُ "، وَقَالَ: " حَدِّثُوا عَنِّي، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not write anything from me except the Noble Qur'an, and whoever has written anything other than the Noble Qur'an should erase it. And he said: You may narrate hadith from me, and whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me should make his abode in Hell.
