Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (ﷺ), there were four people among the Mu’allafatul Quloob: Alqamah bin Alathah Al-Amiri, Aqra’ bin Habis, Zaid Al-Khail, and Uyainah bin Badr. Once, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a piece of gold from Yemen, wrapped in tanned leather—“whose soil had not been spoiled”—and presented it to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) distributed it among those four men.
