حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ (١) ، أَخْبَرَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ وَشَيَّعَهَا، كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَلَمْ يُشَيِّعْهَا، كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَالْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer and accompanies (the funeral) up to the grave, he will receive two qirats of reward, and whoever only offers the funeral prayer but does not go up to the grave, he will receive one qirat of reward, and one qirat is equal to (the size of) Mount Uhud.
