حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ (٢) يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ: أَنْصِتْ، فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: When the Imam is delivering the Friday sermon and you say to your companion, "Be quiet," then you have engaged in idle talk.
