حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَوْلَادِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، ، فَقَالَ: " اللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about the ruling concerning the children of polytheists who die in infancy. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah knows best what deeds they would have done when they grew up.
