حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةَ ضَلَالٍ فَاتُّبِعَ عَلَيْهَا، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِهِمْ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ، وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةَ هُدًى فَاتُّبِعَ عَلَيْهَا، كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أُجُورِهِمْ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ (٣) مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever establishes a way of misguidance among the people and people follow him, he will bear a sin equal to that of those who follow him, and nothing will be diminished from their sins. And whoever establishes a way of guidance among the people and people follow him, he will receive a reward equal to that of those who follow him, and nothing will be diminished from their rewards.
