حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَسُبُّوا الدَّهْرَ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ: أَنَا الدَّهْرُ، الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي لِي، أُجَدِّدُهَا وَأُبْلِيهَا، وَآتِي بِمُلُوكٍ بَعْدَ مُلُوكٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not speak ill of time, for Allah says: I am the creator of time; the day and night are in My hand, and I am the One who alternates the day and night, and I am the One who brings kings one after another.
