حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلًا، فَيَأْتِيَ الْجَبَلَ فَيَحْتَطِبَ مِنْهُ، فَيَبِيعَهُ، فَيَأْكُلَ وَيَتَصَدَّقَ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: It is much better that one of you takes a rope, gathers firewood, carries it on his back, sells it, and eats from what he earns or gives it in charity, rather than asking people.
