حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشِّغَارِ " وَالشِّغَارُ: أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ: زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ ابْنَتِي، أَوْ زَوِّجْنِي أُخْتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ أُخْتِي. قَالَ: " وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ، وَعَنِ الْحَصَاةِ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) forbade exchange marriages (watay satay) in which, without specifying a dowry, the exchange of relations itself is considered as the dowry. He also forbade deceptive trade and selling by throwing pebbles.
