Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحَبَّةَ السَّوْدَاءَ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ، إِلَّا السَّامَ "، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: فَقُلْتُ لِقَتَادَةَ: " مَا السَّامُ؟ قَالَ: الْمَوْتُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: In this black seed there is a cure for every disease except death.
