Hakim Ziyech Donated all his £262,000 World Cup Earnings to Charities

Morocco star Hakim Ziyech has reportedly donated his £262,000 bonus to charity following his exceptional performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

As the first African and Arab team to reach the semi-finals at the global showpiece in Qatar, the winger was pivotal to the success of the Moroccon campaign.

They have defeated the likes of Belgium, Spain, and Portugal to become the first-ever African team to make the last four of the competition.

The North African lost 2-0 to France on Wednesday night, as France ended their dream of playing in a World Cup final.

According to Ziyech, who was first called up to the national team in 2015, all of his bonus money was donated to charities and members of his team’s staff.

According to journalist Khaled Beydoun, the 29-year-old Hakim has always donated money to charity, and he has just done so again.

Further reports have it that the former Ajax star is set to earn £262,000 from Morocco’s run to the World Cup semi-finals and all the money will be given to poor people in his homeland.

According to the Arabic Post, the Chelsea star hires a private plane whenever he is called up to the squad of his country. They go on to claim that he has also donated money to amateur football clubs and hospitals in Morocco.
