Hadith of some of the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ٢٢٣٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، وَكَانَ عَامِلًا عَلَى تَوَّجَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ نَامَ عَلَى إِجَّارٍ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ مَا يَدْفَعُ قَدَمَيْهِ فَخَرَّ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ، وَمَنْ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ إِذَا ارْتَجَّ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever sleeps on the roof of a house that has no parapet, and he falls from it and dies, then no one is responsible for him. And whoever sets out on a sea journey at a time when the sea is turbulent and dies, then no one is responsible for him either.
