Hadith of an Arab Bedouin (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ أَعْرَابِيٍّ، ٢٠٧٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، وَعَفَّانُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، وَأَبُو الْدَّهْمَاءِ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: وَكَانَا يُكْثِرَانِ الْحَجَّ، قَالَا: أَتَيْنَا عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ، فَقَالَ الْبَدَوِيُّ: أَخَذَ بِيَدِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَعَلَ يُعَلِّمُنِي مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللهُ، فَكَانَ فِيمَا حَفِظْتُ عَنْهُ أَنْ قَالَ: " إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَدَعَ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءً لِلَّهِ، (١) إِلَّا آتَاكَ اللهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ " (٢)، ،

Abu Qatadah and Abu Dhamah, who used to travel frequently to this place, say: We reached a Bedouin man who told us that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) took my hand and began to teach me those things which Allah had taught him, and said: Whatever you leave out of fear of Allah, Allah will grant you something better than it.
