Hadith of a man from the people of the desert (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ، ٢٠٧٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ أَسِيرًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةٌ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْكِتَابِ " (١)، ،

A Bedouin man says that his father was a captive with the Prophet (peace be upon him). He says: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that the prayer is not accepted in which Surah Al-Fatihah is not recited.
