Chapter 1
It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that at one time I held the opinion that the children of Muslims would be with the Muslims and the children of the polytheists would be with the polytheists, until a certain man narrated to me from another that the Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the children of the polytheists, so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Allah knows best what deeds they would have done." Then I met another man and he also told me the same thing, so I withdrew from my opinion.
