Hadith of a man from Banu Sulaym

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِيمٍ (١)، ٢٠٢٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ بْنُ الشِّخِّيرِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَحَدُ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، وَلَا أَحْسَبُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، (٢) " أَنَّ اللهَ يَبْتَلِي عَبْدَهُ بِمَا أَعْطَاهُ، فَمَنْ رَضِيَ بِمَا قَسَمَ اللهُ لَهُ، بَارَكَ اللهُ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَوَسَّعَهُ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَرْضَ لَمْ يُبَارِكْ لَهُ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from a companion of Banu Sulaym (that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said): Whatever Allah has given to His servant, He tests him in it. So whoever is content with Allah’s decree, Allah grants him blessing and abundance, and whoever is not content, he is not granted blessing.
