Hadith of ‘Itban ibn Malik Al-Ansari or Ibn ‘Itban (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَوْ ابْنِ عِتْبَانَ، ١٩٠١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِتْبَانَ، أَوْ ابْنِ عُتْبَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَيْ نَبِيَّ اللهِ، إِنِّي كُنْتُ مَعَ أَهْلِي، فَلَمَّا سَمِعْتُ صَوْتَكَ، أَقْلَعْتُ، فَاغْتَسَلْتُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from Utban (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted in the court of Prophethood, "O Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him! I was 'engaged' with my wife when as soon as I heard your voice, I left her and immediately performed ghusl (ritual bath) and came?" The Noble Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Ghusl becomes obligatory due to ejaculation."
