Hadith of Abu al-'Ashara' al-Darimi (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ أَبِي الْعُشَرَاءِ الدَّارْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ (١)، ١٨٩٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُشَرَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَمَا تَكُونُ الذَّكَاةُ إِلَّا فِي الْحَلْقِ أَوِ اللَّبَّةِ؟ قَالَ: " لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَكَ "، (٢)، ،

Waki‘ narrated to us: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us from Abu al-‘Ushara’, from his father who said: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! Is slaughtering (dhabh) only in the throat or the base of the neck?” He said: « لَوْ طَعَنْتَ فِي فَخِذِهَا لَأَجْزَأَكَ ». [انظر: 18948، 18949، 18950]

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعُشَرَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِثْلَهُ، قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: وَأَبِيكَ. (١)،

Narrated to us Waki‘, narrated to us Hammad ibn Salamah, from Abu al-‘Ushara’, from his father, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering not valid except in the throat or the base of the neck?" He said: "If you stab it in its thigh, it would suffice you." Narrated to us ‘Affan, narrated to us Hammad ibn Salamah, from Abu al-‘Ushara’, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the like of it. He said: And I heard him say: "By your father."

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَاهُ هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُشَرَاءِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ (١)،

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Hudbah ibn Khalid and Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Abu al-‘Ushara’ narrated to us, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to the hadith of Waki‘..

قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ أَشْرَسَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ (٢)، ،

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Hawtharah ibn Ashras narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, and he mentioned something similar to it.
