Hadith of ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Adi ibn al-Hamra’ al-Zuhri (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْحَمْرَاءِ الزُّهْرِيِّ (١)، ١٨٧١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْحَمْرَاءِ الزُّهْرِيَّ أخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ (٢) صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِالْحَزْوَرَةِ فِي سُوقِ مَكَّةَ: " وَاللهِ إِنَّكِ لَخَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللهِ، وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللهِ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ " (٣)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) standing at Hazwarah, which was a market in Mecca, saying: "By Allah, you are the best land of Allah and the most beloved land to Allah. If I had not been driven out from you, I would never have left you."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْحَمْرَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِالْحَزْوَرَةِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ يَقُولُ لِمَكَّةَ: (١) " وَاللهِ إِنَّكِ لَأَخْيَرُ أَرْضِ اللهِ، وَأَحَبُّ أَرْضِ اللهِ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أُخْرِجْتُ مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ " (٢)، ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: وَقَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْحَزْوَرَةِ، فَقَالَ: " عَلِمْتُ أَنَّكِ خَيْرُ أَرْضِ اللهِ، وَأَحَبُّ الْأَرْضِ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ أَهْلَكِ أَخْرَجُونِي مِنْكِ مَا خَرَجْتُ " (١)، ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: " الْحَزْوَرَةُ عِنْدَ بَابِ الْحَنَّاطِينَ "،
