Hadith of a man (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ، ١٨٢٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ، فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُهُ فِي (١) كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ " فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ، اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ: اثْنَتَانِ أَمْ وَاحِدَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " هُوَ ذَاكَ " أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذَا (٢)، ،

It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: O people! Keep repenting to your Lord, and I myself repent to Him a hundred times in a day. I asked him, "Are 'Allahumma inni astaghfiruka' and 'Allahumma inni atubu ilaik' two separate things or the same?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: They are the same.
