Hadith of a man from Banu Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، ١٨٠٧١ - حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، حَاجِبِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ،: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ، قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَطْعَمْتَ وَسَقَيْتَ، وَأَشْبَعْتَ وَأَرْوَيْتَ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ غَيْرَ مَكْفُورٍ، وَلَا مُوَدَّعٍ، وَلَا مُسْتَغْنًى عَنْكَ " (١)، ،

It is narrated from a companion of Banu Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (ﷺ) finished eating, he would recite this supplication: O Allah! All praise is due to You, for You have fed, given drink, quenched thirst, and satisfied the stomach. All praise is due to You, in which there is no ingratitude; it cannot be abandoned, nor can one do without You.
