Hadith of 'Amr ibn Umayyah al-Damri (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، ١٧٦١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: " " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكَلَ لَحْمًا أَوْ عَرْقًا، فَلَمْ يُمَضْمِضْ، وَلَمْ يَمَسَّ مَاءً، فَصَلَّى " (١)،

It is narrated from Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) tearing off the meat of the shoulder with his teeth and eating it. Then he was called for prayer, so he performed the prayer without making a new ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ " رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ كَتِفٍ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ دُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) tearing off the meat of the shoulder with his teeth and eating it. Then he was called for prayer, so he performed the prayer without performing a new ablution.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ، ، عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " (١)،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْعِمَامَةِ " (٢)،

It is narrated from Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiping over his leather socks.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ، أَخُو عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي (٣) حُمَيْدٍ الْمَدَنِيَّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَا أَعْطَى الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ، فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ " (٤)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: " عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ أَخُو عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ "،

It is narrated from Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Whatever a man gives to his wife is charity.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَمْرٍو (١) بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَزَّ مِنْ كَتِفٍ فَأَكَلَ، فَأَتَاهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَأَلْقَى السِّكِّينَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ " (٢)،

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، حَدَّثَهُ: " أَنَّهُ أَبْصَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " (٣)، ،
