Hadith of Ayman ibn Khuraym, from the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدِيثُ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ (١) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ١٧٦٠٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ فَاتِكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ، قَالَ: قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا، فَقَالَ: " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، عَدَلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ إِشْرَاكًا بِاللهِ " ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: {فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ} [الحج: ٣٠] (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Ayman bin Khuraym (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up to deliver a sermon and said three times: O people! False testimony is equal to associating partners with Allah. Then he recited this verse: So avoid the filth of idols and avoid speaking falsehood.
