Hadith of Ibn Murabba' Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ (١)، ١٧٢٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ، قَالَ: أَتَانَا ابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، وَنَحْنُ فِي مَكَانٍ مِنَ الْمَوْقِفِ بَعِيدٍ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللهِ إِلَيْكُمْ يَقُولُ: " كُونُوا عَلَى مَشَاعِرِكُمْ هَذِهِ، فَإِنَّكُمْ عَلَى إِرْثٍ مِنْ إِرْثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ " لِمَكَانٍ تَبَاعَدَهُ عَمْرٌو (٢)، ،

Yazid bin Shaiban (may Allah have mercy on him) says: We were a little away from the place of standing when Ibn Murabba’ Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us and said: I have come to you as a messenger from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: Stay at these very sites of rituals, for this is the inheritance of your father, Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
