Hadith of Abdullah ibn Hawalah

حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ (١)، ١٦٩٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ نَجَا مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ، فَقَدْ نَجَا - ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ -: مَوْتِي، وَالدَّجَّالُ، وَقَتْلُ خَلِيفَةٍ مُصْطَبِرٍ بِالْحَقِّ مُعْطِيهِ (٢) " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hawalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever is saved from three things, he is saved (he said this three times): my death, the Dajjal, and the killing of a steadfast caliph upon the truth."
