Hadith of Abdur Rahman ibn Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ (١)، ١٥٧٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ: ذَكَرَ طَبِيبٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَوَاءً، وَذَكَرَ الضُّفْدَعَ يُجْعَلُ (٢) فِيهِ، " فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِ الضُّفْدَعِ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Uthman that once a physician mentioned a medicine before the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him that he includes parts of a frog in it. The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade killing the frog.
