Hadith of Abu Burdah ibn Qays, the brother of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ (١) أَخِي أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، ١٥٦٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ، حَدَّثَنَا كُرَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، أَخِي أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فَنَاءَ أُمَّتِي فِي سَبِيلِكَ بِالطَّعْنِ، وَالطَّاعُونِ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Abu Burdah bin Qais, who is the brother of Abu Musa Ash'ari, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Allah, decree the death of my Ummah in Your path by spears and in the state of plague.
