Hadith of a woman (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ امْرَأَةٍ، ٢٧٤٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ (١) ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ، مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ - وَكَانَتْ قَدْ صَلَّتِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ (٢) مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " اخْتَضِبِي تَتْرُكُ إِحْدَاكُنَّ (٣) الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ يَدُهَا كَيَدِ الرَّجُلِ " " قَالَتْ: فَمَا تَرَكَتِ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى لَقِيَتِ اللهَ تَعَالَى وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَتَخْتَضِبُ (٤) وَهِيَ بِنْتُ ثَمَانِينَ " (٥)، ،

A woman (who had the honor of praying towards both Qiblahs) says that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to my house and said to me: "Apply henna, you people stop applying henna and your hands become like the hands of men." After that, I never stopped applying henna and I will continue to do so until I meet Allah. The narrator says that she used to apply henna even at the age of one hundred years.
