Hadith of Khawlah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ (١)، ٢٧٠٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ (٢) ، مَوْلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُبَيْدَ سَنُوطَا، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، امْرَأَةِ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى حَمْزَةَ، فَتَذَاكَرَا الدُّنْيَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ، مَنْ أَخَذَهَا بِحَقِّهَا، بُورِكَ لَهُ فِيهَا، وَرُبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللهِ، وَمَالِ رَسُولِهِ، لَهُ النَّارُ يَوْمَ يَلْقَى اللهَ " (٣)، ،

Narrated from Khawlah bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the wife of Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him), that one day the Prophet (ﷺ) came to Hamzah (may Allah be pleased with him) and the topic of the world was mentioned. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The world is lush and sweet; whoever acquires it with its due right, blessing will be placed in it for him. And there are many who intrude upon the wealth of Allah and His Messenger, and on the Day they meet Allah, they will be entered into Hell."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ سَنُوطَا،، ، عَنْ خَوْلَةَ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ حَمْزَةَ يُذَاكِرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الدُّنْيَا (١) ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةٌ خَضِرَةٌ، وَرُبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، لَهُ النَّارُ " (٢)، ،
