Hadith of Umm Mubashshir, the wife of Zayd ibn Harithah (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ امْرَأَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ (١)، ٢٧٠٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ، امْرَأَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ، فَقَالَ: " لَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ ". قَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ: أَلَيْسَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ: {وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا} [مريم: ٧١] قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَمَهْ، {ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا} (٢) [مريم: ٧٢] "، ،

It is narrated from Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said in the house of Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her): "I hope, insha’Allah, that none of those who participated in the Battle of Badr and Hudaybiyyah will enter Hell." I said, "Does Allah Almighty not say that every one of you will enter it?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied: "Then We will save those who were righteous, and We will leave the wrongdoers therein, fallen on their knees."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ (١) ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ غَرَسَ غَرْسًا، أَوْ زَرَعَ زَرْعًا، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ إِنْسَانٌ، أَوْ سَبُعٌ، أَوْ دَابَّةٌ، أَوْ طَيْرٌ، فَهُوَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ " (٢)، ،

It is narrated from Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever plants a tree or sows a crop, and then a human, bird, beast, or animal eats from it, it is counted as charity for him."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ (١) رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنَا فِي حَائِطٍ مِنْ حَوَائِطِ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ، فِيهِ قُبُورٌ مِنْهُمْ، قَدْ مُوِّتُوا (٢) فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَسَمِعَهُمْ وَهُمْ يُعَذَّبُونَ، فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ". قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيُعَذَّبُونَ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، عَذَابًا تَسْمَعُهُ الْبَهَائِمُ " (٣)، ،

It is narrated from Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I was in a garden of Banu Najjar when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to me. In that garden, there were also graves of some people who had died in the time of ignorance. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard the sound of them being punished. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out of the garden saying, "Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Are they being punished in these graves?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Yes! And animals also hear this punishment."

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَ غُلَامُ حَاطِبٍ، فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ لَا يَدْخُلُ حَاطِبٌ الْجَنَّةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " كَذَبْتَ، قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،

It is narrated from Umm Mubashir (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the slave of Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) came and said, "By Allah! Hatib will not be able to enter Paradise." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "You are wrong; he has participated in the Battle of Badr and Hudaybiyyah."
