Chapter 1
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: In the month of Ramadan, the gates of the heavens are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and every rebellious devil is chained. And every night a caller announces: O seeker of good! Advance, and O seeker of evil! Refrain, until Ramadan comes to an end.

It is narrated from a Bedouin companion, may Allah be pleased with him, that once during the blessed era of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), I brought a camel to Madinah Munawwarah. After I finished selling it, I thought to myself that I should meet this man and listen to his words. So, I found the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) walking between Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and I began to walk behind them until all three of them reached a Jew who had opened the Torah and was reading it, comforting himself with it because his extremely handsome and beautiful young son was near death. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said to him, "I ask you by the One who revealed the Torah, do you read in the Torah my same attributes and the same circumstances of my Prophethood?" He gestured with his head in denial. His dying son said, "Yes! By the One who revealed the Torah, we find in our book your same attributes and the same circumstances of your Prophethood, and I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Remove these Jews from your brother's side." Then the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) himself arranged for his shrouding, burial, and funeral prayer.
