Hadith of Atiyyah al-Qurazi (may Allah be pleased with him)

حَدِيثُ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ، ٢٢٦٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْقُرَظِيِّ قَالَ: عُرِضْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ " فَشَكُّوا فِيَّ، فَأَمَرَ بِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَيَّ هَلْ أَنْبَتُّ بَعْدُ؟ فَنَظَرُوا فَلَمْ يَجِدُونِي أَنْبَتُّ، فَخَلَّى عَنِّي، وَأَلْحَقَنِي بِالسَّبْيِ " (١)،

It is narrated from Atiyyah Qarazi (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Banu Qurayza, we were presented before the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), and it was decided that whoever had grown pubic hair would be killed, and whoever had not grown pubic hair would be let go. I was among those who had not grown hair, so I was let go.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، سَمِعَ عَطِيَّةَ يَقُولُ: " كُنْتُ يَوْمَ حَكَمَ سَعْدٌ فِيهَا غُلَامًا، فَلَمْ يَجِدُونِي أَنْبَتُّ (٢) ، فَهَا أَنَا ذَا بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِكُمْ " (٣)، ،

Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that on the day Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the verdict regarding Banu Qurayzah, I was a small boy. He did not find pubic hair grown on me; for this reason, I am present among you today.
