Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي، عَنْ أَبِي، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلْ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ، وَلْيُقَلْ لَهُ: يَرْحَمُكُمِ اللهُ، وَلْيَقُلْ هُوَ: يَهْدِيكُمُ اللهُ، وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ " (٢)، ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ؟ قَالَ: عَلِيٌّ (١)، •
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
`If one of you sneezes, let him say: Praise be to Allah in all situations. Let others say to him; May Allah have mercy on you. And let him say May Allah guide you and rectify your condition.” I said to him: Is it from Abu Ayyoob? He said: `Ali (رضي الله عنه).
