حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ يَعْنِي الْجُرَيْرِيَّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ: الْوَتْرِ قَبْلَ النَّوْمِ، وَرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى، وَصَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved friend (ﷺ) advised me regarding three things, which I will not leave until my death: (1) to perform Witr prayer before sleeping, (2) to offer the Duha (forenoon) prayer, (3) to fast three days in every month.
