حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْعَلَاءَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَسْتَامُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ، وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: No person should bid against his brother's bid, and no person should send a marriage proposal over his brother's marriage proposal.
