Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَال: " دَخَلَتِ النَّارَ امْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ رَبَطَتْهَا، فَلَمْ تَدَعْهَا تَأْكُلُ مِنْ خَشَاشِ الْأَرْضِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up. She neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth on its own.
