حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الضَّحَّاكِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا سَبْعِينَ - أَوْ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ - هِيَ شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ "، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ: " أَوْ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ، شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ "، قُلْتُ لِشُعْبَةَ: هِيَ شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ قَالَ: " لَيْسَ فِيهَا، هِيَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: In Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for seventy years or a little more than a year. That is the Tree of Eternity.
