حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: وَرُبَّمَا ذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَا يَتَقَرَّبُ الْعَبْدُ إِلَيَّ شِبْرًا، إِلَّا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَلَا يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا، إِلَّا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا - أَوْ بُوعًا - " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty says, "If a servant comes near to Me by a handspan, I come near to him by a cubit; if he comes near to Me by a cubit, I come near to him by a fathom."
