Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا ضَرَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْتَنِبِ الْوَجْهَ، وَلَا يَقُلْ: قَبَّحَ اللهُ وَجْهَكَ، وَوَجْهَ مَنْ أَشْبَهَ وَجْهَكَ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَلَقَ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you strikes someone, he should avoid striking the face, and he should not say, "May Allah disgrace your face and the face of one who resembles you," because Allah created Adam (peace be upon him) in His own image.
