حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ، قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ، وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ، اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللهُمَّ (٢) اطْوِ لَنَا الْأَرْضَ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا السَّفَرَ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) set out on a journey, he would recite this supplication: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, from distress upon return, and from witnessing any evil in my family and wealth. O Allah, You are my companion in travel and my successor among my family. O Allah, fold the earth for us and make the journey easy for us.
